'Egypt is free! Egypt is free!'

Wild cheers erupted from tens of thousands of demonstrators in Cairo's Tahrir Square after word spread that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has resigned. Demonstrators chanted "Egypt is free!" upon hearing the news.

Well, at least it's not all bad news.

Sheesh. You'd think they just brought a couple of US skyscrapers down... or just won the NBA championship, or something.

While you all have been verbally assaulting one another, it has come out that the freedom movement in Egypt is a great victory for Obama since his speech was the catalyst that created this wonderful social reaction. Long live Obama.

This event tonight, as peaceful as it was, is a pretty large refutation of a lot of the "noise" we heard about FEARMONGERING about "Muslim Brotherhood" and the like.

This was a country, on its own, that stood up to its dictator, and pushed him out, without too many corpses.

George Washington and the rest would be very proud of the Egyptian people right now.

Germany pushed somebody out to make room for Hitler. The new leadership of Egypt will not be Hitler. But they just have no idea who will be. Could be fantastic. Could be horrific.

See, that is the uncertainty. Change can be good. But change can be bad. And what no one knows right now, it what will change bring?

Let's just call that the Factless Fear Injection FIX from FIXED...

Yes, Osama might open a campaign office and run... well, nope, he is not

EGYPTIAN...

This is for the Egyptian people to decide. The last thing in the world anyone needs right now is outside foreign meddling. The more we "meddled," the more the "bad guys" like Ahmadinejad started winning elections. So do us all a favor and keep the fear under the sheet until you have something other than nothing from FIXED except your nightly FIX of FACTLESS FEAR about "those people..."

In other words, if it ends with a happy ending, then the good guys won. But if it ends like shit (like every other middle east country that deposed a dictator), we'll blame the Jews and the USA.

Right?

The real truth is that Iran was actually making progress under Rafsanjani and validating the "organic" aspect of democracy, that democracy works only when that is what the people want. Not everyone wants democracy.

Iran went "radical" in 2005 with Ahmadinejad only because a large hostile foreign power that had just flipped it off in Afghan was massed in Iraq, and had called Iran "evil."

Had that not been done, Ahmadinejad never wins (in a runoff) in 2005...

Iran clearly MODERATED from the original Ayatollah to Rafsanjani, and the proof of the moderation is that Iran was attempting to slaughter the lowest of the low as far as human life forms are concerned, those being

AL QAEDA

and

TALIBAN
