So who's up for a chiefsplanet gladiatorial tournament?

Here's how it would work.

Matches:

It's a fight to the death, and the winner of each match will be determined by a poll. Single elimination because the loser is dead.

Weapons:

I will do a random draw of weapons, which can range from bare fists to an 88 mm flak gun. Each participant in a match will get a different weapon, so even if you aren't the toughest internet person on the board, you still might win if you get, say, a tommy gun and the person across from you has a swiss army knife.

Distance:

I will do a random draw of the distance between gladiators at the start of the match. It will range from one foot to perhaps a mile.

Terrain:

I'll likely do a random draw of different terrains. The odds are that you'll be in a sand-covered arena (sand absorbs blood), but perhaps it could be a forest or a jungle or a Taco Bell or some other place.

Special Factors:

I'll have maybe a 10 percent chance of "special factors" for one person or the other. It might be that they have one hand handcuffed to their belt or that they are riding a horse or that they have an eye patch over their left eye or that they're on a 20-foot leash or something. We'll work these out.

So if you're interested, vote yes in the poll so I can easily scoop up your names. If we don't have a lot of people I may randomly pull some names, too.

Whether you're interested or not, you're welcome to suggest weapons, terrain, or special factors you'd like to see. If you suggest them, please put them under a header so I know what it is. Examples of the format for making suggestions is:

Weapon

Mace
Spear
Poison Dart Gun

Terrain

Sand-covered arena
New York street
4' pool of water

Special Factors

Carrying a 50-lb. weight
Midget sidekick
Drunk (.12 BAC)

I would, but I'm still stuck on the tarmac in this B-17.

As for weapons, you really should have some sharks with frickin' laserbeams on their frickin' heads.
