GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) — Officials say a U.S. team is expected soon in the South American nation of Guyana to probe the crash of a Boeing 737 jetliner that all 163 people aboard survived.

Authorities so far have given little idea about the cause of Saturday's crash. The Caribbean Airlines plane ran off the end of a runway at Guyana's main airport and broke in two. About 30 people had to be treated at a local hospital, including the pilot.

The airline is largely owned by the government of Trinidad and Tobago and its prime minister has visited the crash site. Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she is worried that the accident will hurt tourism to the Caribbean, a region that depends heavily on the industry.

Armchair psychologist here, but it seems to me that Frankie fears somewhere deep down that his inartful phrasing, were he to admit to it, would be used in the future as evidence that he isn't as versed in English vernacular and the finer elements of idiom and turns of phrase.

Like that scene in 2010 where the Russian cosmonaut says that a particular task would be "Like a piece of pie." I did indeed. Even when he was adamant that it was H5N1 that initially lobbed the whore bomb, I owned that fact that is was actually me. Although I never actually used the word (instead a play on ORE), the intent was there.

The apology came later, which he accepted.

This was an apology? Something to build up to an asinine demand? I accepted it because I did not want this particular side of the argument to go on much longer while the bigot idiot Preparation H was doing his carpet bombing of insults to a lady who is not even in the conversation.
