GEORGETOWN, Guyana (AP) — Officials say a U.S. team is expected soon in the South American nation of Guyana to probe the crash of a Boeing 737 jetliner that all 163 people aboard survived.

Authorities so far have given little idea about the cause of Saturday's crash. The Caribbean Airlines plane ran off the end of a runway at Guyana's main airport and broke in two. About 30 people had to be treated at a local hospital, including the pilot.

The airline is largely owned by the government of Trinidad and Tobago and its prime minister has visited the crash site. Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she is worried that the accident will hurt tourism to the Caribbean, a region that depends heavily on the industry.

From the looks of it, you did miss a fairly humorous bit at the outset. Probably as chuckle-worthy as 'If you had never met me and didn't know what I looked like, you probably wouldn't recognize me when you saw me' of yore.

Frankie posted news coverage and images regarding the catastrophic effects of a plane running off a runway into soft earth, and asked us all to imagine if the air present at 35K feet managed to do the same damage. Like the first 50 posts were some variant of a facepalm, several said he can't be serious, he must be having a laugh. Then Frankie returns to assure us he's super cereal. The thread takes off from there.

The afterburners were engaged somewhere in the 260s of posts.

The comments have been .01% political with someone randomly interjecting 'well Frankie, your sig suggests you like Obama.' Real scathing stuff.

But yes, the remainder is a typical episode of Frankie Springer.
