tax increases and it doesn't pay down the debt. Good grief. Can we get the President in a spending rehab center? He's totally addicted.

I think it's the same mentality Hitler and his staff had when they were hiding in their Berlin bunker and the Russian's moved in. Might as well go down partying.

So basically his plan is to raise taxes $1.5 tril, cut spending by $580 bil then count troop reductions for another $1 tril.

In other words he wants to raise 3x the amount in taxes that he proposes in spending cuts. The $1 tril for the wars are a BS, fluff stat.

If you say it often enough, maybe people will start believing.

Obama will never make Bush look good—only to partisans aka those who don't know how Bush pushing the "Ownership Society" lead to our mess and that until real estate turns around there's little any leader can do. Except those leaders who would worsen the situation....that is Obama.

If Obama and his administration weren't complete dumbasses, there are solutions to the problems that suit the needs to both parties and more importantly, the American economy and US Citizens.

If I were king, the base outline of my plan would be.
1. No new spending
2. Spending Cuts.
3. reasonable rate increase for top tax brackets.
4. Close corporate tax loopholes for large business.

5. 5-10 year property and payroll tax exemptions/rebates for companies repatriated to US soil.
6. Tax rebates/exemptions for every new job that meets agreed upon requirements(wage, benefit, permanent etc).
7. Tax benefit to companies who never stayed here instead of leaving, with incentives for new jobs or property/facility/equipment expansions
8. Stop the stupid, liberal, hippy economy hindering but not environmentally harmful bullshit regulations.

The above 5-8 help return the pain from #4, while still bringing in additional revenue from corporations that need to be paying taxes on their huge profits.

It's not that difficult. I'd be less likely to throw a fit for slightly higher taxes, if the govt were trimming budgets and cutting costs. raise my taxes so you can do another failed round of payouts and re-election programs....F that.

Give corporations financial benefits for being here and hiring new people.....If they're not growing, they're paying.

I also think there should be an "exit tax". When a company closes a plant here to open one overseas...we tax the living hell out of every asset they have....make it hurt more to leave, while encouraging those who left to return.

do those things and this economy will take care of itself....
