5. KU couldn't take a gamble on a coach with baggage such as lawsuits.

That's just another guess to throw out there. Nobody knows exactly why Leach wasn't hired at KU or why he hasn't been hired for any of the much better jobs than WSU that have opened up in the past 2 seasons.
