Brief, amusing PFF update for Chefs fans

Tyson Jackson just had his worst game of the season (-2.6) and is ranked 30th at his position.

Branden Albert just had his worst game of the year (-1.9). Gave up 3 hurries and a QB hit.

Jeff Allen just had his BEST game of the year (+1.9) based mostly on his run blocking (+2.1). He has not graded in the red for 3 weeks now so that's positive.

Dontari Poe just had his BEST game of the year, based mostly on his pass rush (+1.1).

Tony Moeaki hit the green for the first time this season.

Eric Berry was in absolute beast mode with 13 tackles and 9 stops. He's had a below average year but he's still #2 in stops among all safeties.

I wonder if Berry and Moeaki aren't hitting their strides now that their knees are getting better.

Jalil Brown was targeted 3 times and gave up 3 catches for 56 yards. I think he's toast city next week.

And here's how good Justin Houston is: he just had his worst game of the season (-0.9) and he's still the top-rated OLB.

I didn't say he had a good game. But making 9 stops is a valuable contribution.

He certainly struggled in pass coverage again.

If he hadn't gotten carried for 9 yards on each tackle I would feel better about the 9 tackles.

Stops are a different stat.

It’s when an offense fails to get:

40 percent of the required yards for another first down on first down
60 percent of the required yards for a first down on second down
A first down on third or fourth down

you do not take an beats like that onna high tackle, you get the legs or you become the YAC statistic
