Even though he works for the DC affiliate of CBS, this guy is still young though, he graduated from college not that long ago. I really, really want it to be true, but we could be dealing with a doofus with a bad source.

No, didn't mention the Big XII. The Big X is the best academic conference in all of this, with the rest being relatively comparable, though the Pac likes to posture otherwise.

OU and Texas will always be fine because of their football programs. TX is one of the few, legitimate giants in that they bring the complete package (football, market, and academics), but OU would and will be just fine.

I'll use the old Big12 for an example. Lets say 8-4 Nebraska beats 12-0 Texas who was the last undefeated team.

Should Nebraska go to the National Championship against an SEC team even though Texas is the better team who had one bad game? Or do you send a 10-2 B1G team who isn't as good as Texas?

Texas IS the giant. UNC is the coup for the B1G, but they will go down with the ACC. Its their conference. B1G is just picking the parts around them to make the network in continuous states.

The fans on their boards are about 10-1 in favor of the SEC over the B1G.

UNC sees itself as a proud southern culture school: SEC

UNC sees itself as a premier academic and research institution: B1G

UNC sees its real value tied to Duke: SEC or B12

Athletically it makes since to do it that way, but the message boards arent the pulse of fan base. See what happens. Would be surprised to see anyone move before the Maryland hearing on the exit fees, but $50m is a drop in a bucket for UVa and GT.

If anyone else even moves at all.

If the Big X gets to 16, as rumored, I have no doubt that the SEC will have an offer out to UNC immediately, assuming this hasn't happened already. If they balk, I would expect NC State and VA Tech to be in the fold quickly, and the SEC will be done.

I said earlier in this thread it would happen, and it did yesterday.

Per a source, Jake Campos has changed his commitment from Missouri to Iowa State.

Bowl game lines are out. Bama is favored by nine and a half over Notre Dame. Oregon is favored by nine over KSU.

SEC teams are favored in all of their games.

The best commit in Iowa State history committed today. Final five schools were Alabama, LSU, Ohio State, Nebraska, and Iowa State.

Well I've seen other people post commits in here, so it fits in with that.

That's only for teams that are reasonably expected to have seat in one of the super conferences when all the dust settles.

Lol. Iowa State isn't getting left out if Super Conferences happen.
