CBS 2013 Prospects

CBS Sports has compiled a list of the top 50 2013 draft prospects.

Top Defensive Tackel is Johnathan Hankins

"Defensive linemen that are 335-pounds aren't supposed to move like he can, recording 11.0 tackles for loss in 2011"

Sounds a lot like why we took Poe. Hankins is taller and plays at a better school, but I just don't understand why people are down on the Poe pick.

I will tell you this from watching him the last two years, he is a monster. We had a real lack of depth on the D-Line the last 2 years and he and John Simon played everywhere. To be honest we sucked last year and the year before. Anyways Hankins played, DT, NT, DE there isn't a spot on the line that he can't play IMO. He plays all game, he rarely is out. He can flat out dominate offensive lineman, and he is relentless to the ball. Apparently Urban Meyer has got Big Hank into the best shape of his life. They said they actually had to hold him out of the Spring game because he was dominating it so much (take that FWIW). He is an absolutely great player, and I believe he will be a great player on the next level as well, he has all the tools you could want.

If you don't play here, it's because you're not good enough. It's not because we're holding you back. We're going to recruit the kind of player where we want them on the field right now. That's the approach we took at Florida, and it's the approach we're going to take here.

John Simon is also a man child. When he came out of high school he was a 5* recruit, they said he could bench 225 35 times. He has dominated since he got to Ohio State and I look for him to have a massive year for the Buckeyes. I don't know why he doesn't get any love in the Media.

Edit: They did show him some love and listed him at number 34. He deserves it, the guy will play in the NFL and will be a great player.
