If the idea was to get a message across to the Republicans and the rest of the American People Paul had for more coverage and opportunity to do that as a Republican candidate than a 3rd party one. Michael Badnarik was in my opinion the best candidate for President in the 2004 but I would guess if a reporter were to ask 100 random people on the street less than 5 would even know who he is.

The "l" ticket is pretty useless to vote on unless you want a protest vote alone. Whatever happens, it's still a good thing that Paul ran again and that a movement has been built from the ground up with more who think like Paul can gain influence. The GOP Establishment can worm and diss all they want. They just cannot take all of us for granted. There's a movement there. They know it.
Even Steve Forbes has said Paul should be the new Federal Reserve Chairman. I don't think Paul would take it...because Greenspan used to be with the hard money crowd, the libertarians and the Randites. He was considered to have sold out. Plus he is one of the major culprits from all the stimulus for over nearly 20 years.

I am trying to get the direct link to that on Rasmussen and it's not in the article, I can't find it on Rasmussen but find it on google referring to Rasmussen. I notice you have to now log in to see more? Is this correct? LOL if it is.

The smart move is for the Repubs to stop alienating these people and throw them a few bones to get them onboard for life.

Maine and Nevada state conventions are this weekend. Ron Paul supporters have been elected as chair at both events. That is a sign they have a clear majority and should be able to sweep the delegates.

In Nevada, Mitt Romney supporters got caught making fake Ron Paul slates.

And aren't some of the states proportional?

Any map that doesn't clearly indicate that Mittens is way ahead is not reflecting reality.

It's a map that tells you that you are stupid (if you are unable to discern it yourself).

For other dumb people -

Blue states are where Romney has won the most delegates.
Red states are where Paul has won the most delegates.
Green states are where Gingrich has won the most delegates.
Orange states are where Santorum has won the most delegates.
Gray states are still to be determined.

No. In truth, none of the delegates are bound, due to Rule 38. Any delegate is free to vote their conscience in any round. There is zero legal, historical or precedent of any sort towards punishing a delegate for voting their conscience - and if anyone tried, Rule 38 would give them ample protection.
