Junior Seau dead, probable suicide

North County Times reporting Seau "found dead by a housekeeper of a gunshot wound to the chest."

https://twitter.com/#!/LATimesfarmer...55054793560065

Junior Seau Dead Cops Investigating Shooting

Cops are currently at Seau's home just outside San Diego. Seau was 43-years-old ... and leaves behind 3 kids and an ex-wife.

Seau was a beast in the NFL -- skyrocketing to fame thanks to his explosive play with the San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots. The USC standout was selected in the first round of the NFL draft in 1990 and played in the league for 20 years.

Seau was involved in a car accident back in 2010 when he drove his SUV off a cliff in Carlsbad, CA hours after he was arrested for allegedly attacking his girlfriend. Seau later said he was not trying to kill himself ... insisting he had fallen asleep at the wheel.

Normally, yes. Tumultuous last few days as I may be looking at new career options. Feeling just a bit anxious, but excited at the same time.

Anti-depressants can be killers. I think doctors can play God with peoples lives when the prescribe them. Much of them have worse side effects than if not taking them and confonting the demons themselves wich is what haunts or is what makes people want to kill themselves in the first place.

Seriously. Talk about selfish, how about refusing to try to understand the situation facing someone who was in enough distress to end their own life.

What's to understand? They're dead. Gone. It's all over. By their own hand. They did it to themselves. Why torture the living with questions and agony? What if I had been a better son or daughter? Why didn't I get better grades? Why didn't I just get a paper route so I could have helped with bills? What if had been nicer to him? What if I'm suicidal too? Why didn't I tell him I loved him more often? That's what I want to understand. Why would any person ever kill themselves for any reason knowing their family is left with all the turmoil?

It's amusing seeing the people that thought he was able to use logical thinking when this happened.

Mental illnesses are serious shit.

Those are some of the consequences of suicide, and they're ****ing horrible. Know what else is horrible? Lots of random, awful, unfortunate shit that happens every day. That doesn't mean blame is anything other than an instinctive defense mechanism for having some way of dealing with shocking, tragic events.

Blaming a suicidally depressed person for the state of their brain is as stupid as blaming someone for their appendix bursting.

To clarify: This is not to "defend" suicide in any way, because I've had a friend leave a suicide note and disappear without word until the next day (thankfully, she was stopped by people at her school and is doing a lot better these days). It was one of the worst days of my life. I know lots and lots and lots of people who have had to fight depression and suicidality. Suicide is a horrifying thing and isn't a viable solution to pretty much anything short of terminal illness, but rational thoughts are not what lead people to it.

Death is not appealing to suicidal people, and the fear of hurting others is probably the main thing standing between a lot of suicidal people and the act itself. But sometimes your outlook gets so bad that it looks like your only way to end the suffering, and it overrides every single thought and emotion you experience. And if you've never felt the panic and desperation and complete mental exhaustion that brings you to that point but still feel the need to comment on how others have dealt with that seemingly unbearable weight, kindly **** right off.

Well you see he's weak because he didn't think logically when it's kind of hard to do that when your mind isn't properly working, and he should of taken medication for it that isn't going to cure the root problem.

Might as well put him in a dress amirite

No, because serial killers act out and impose pain on others. And while Seau's actions will pain others his committing suicide was acting out on himself against himself.

A friend was having an affair, loved both women, couldn't decide on which and in a fit of drunken stupor killed himself on Christmas Eve with his young children downstairs at a party the family was hosting.
A house full of friends and family celebrating Christmas forever tarnished with the memory of that night. We were invited but did not attend that party, thank God.

If there was an argument for suicide being selfish his suicide would fit the bill. Yet after the shock and anger wears off you see a tragic story of someone who lost control of their life, was living a lie, drank too much and had a gun in the house.

We often wonder, if he'd just waited until the morning would he have made the same choice? We think he wouldn't. Believe it or not, he was a fantastic father, good husband, and all around loveable sweet guy. The last person in the world you would call 'selfish.'
