Quinn QBotF

Hate on me!

Watching the quarterbacks
Among the 3 quarterbacks on the roster, the guy who threw the ball best on Thursday was Brady Quinn. He appears to have solid mechanics in his drop and has smoothed out some rough edges that were visible in his motion going back to Notre Dame. Matt Cassel threw several nice passes, but he was high on his throws during much of the session. Ricky Stanzi was OK. @Iowa homers.

“I think they’re beginning to gain a command of the system and some of the checks that we have in place,” Crennel said. “They’re all doing well. Probably, Brady and Matt are a little ahead of Stanzi right now, but they’re all working at it. They’re a good group in that room, so we feel good about them.”

I wonder if Quinn being a little ahead of Stanzi could have something to do with him playing in this offense during the 2009 season...

Quinn never had a chance man. Maybe there could be a small glimmer of hope there.

Quinn was a former #1.
He's your backup.
No amount of hoping is ever going to make Ricky Stanzi the man in Kansas City.
He's going to have to earn that look.

Ricky Stanzi was OK @Iowa homers.

This could mean something very positive, because Gretz didn't qualify it as "just ok" or an average showing.

This is this preseason will be critical for Stanzi to see if he's a gamer when it's time for him to lead the offense.
