Wireless 360 controller Q

Are the new XBOX 360 wireless controllers just total crap, or am I having bad luck?

I just bought one of the silver controllers with the dual d-pad with it. Ive had it since January and now the battery goes from fully charged to nearly dead in about twenty minutes.

Thats if I can even get the charger cord to light up and charge the battery at all. If it does light up, it is red, but then in like fifteen minutes the light turns green signifying that its ready to be taken off the charger, which isnt right because it used to take way longer. Then the battery power level reads full, and just steadily drops like a rock.

The controller functions fine if it remains attached to the cord.

Other times, I cant get the charger cord to light up at all and have to attach the cord and battery to another controller to get it to come on. But then it still doesnt charge right.

This is like the third time this has happened with controllers Ive had for a short time. I was considering buying another play & charge kit but Id like to know if this is something others are experiencing.

Ive had my console for several years, its one of the Arcade consoles that first came out with the HDMI port in it, so Ive considered that it could be my console just not functioning properly.

Its pretty aggravating, as I have two small kids, a dog, and a clumsy ass wife who all cross through the living room quite frequently so corded controllers are just asking for a disaster.

I only play with those Silver controllers just cause of the awesome analog pads but sounds like the battery is shit that u have

They aren't crap, but I would have bought the wired attachment for it.

Same thing happened with mine. I chalked it up to getting it for half price on eBay. I stopped trying to use the Play and Charge and just use rechargeable AA batteries now. It still works in a pinch, but using a corded controller now just seems so 2000 and late.

I'm having similar problems. I would try a new battery pack and if that doesn't work then good old AA batteries

How much would gamestop give me for my PS3 controller?
my controller is messed up and im just gonna sell it to gamestop.
how much could i get for it and is there any other places to sell it or any suggestions?
