Happy 72nd BD to Bobby Bell!

First Chiefs player in the Pro Football HOF. First outside linebacker in the HOF. Also did you know he snapped on punts and field goals, so he played special teams his whole career? He was a QB in high school!

Great KC guy, he made his home here and if you've ever met him, he's a super nice guy. Happy BD Bobby Bell!

You can see him in a Royals Jersey on his Wiki page!

I'm glad we got him instead of the Vikings.

HBD. I feel bad for those that are too young to watch you play the game. Hearing Curt Gowdy call your name on the tackle was awesome.

I know Gowdy is an icon, but I always liked Charlie Jones better.

I wonder how football history would be different if he had signed with the Vikings. Given that the Chiefs met the Vikings in SB IV, would they have won if they had had Bobby and we didn't? Would we have even made the Super Bowl given how close our playoff games were?

And incidentally, this group of Vikings fans thinks that Bobby Bell is no Jim Kleinsasser. What in the world are they thinking? http://www.dailynorseman.com/2012/2/...-draft-round-2

I like the concept of their all-time draft, though. I might have to borrow it for our own purposes.

Flying back from Denver summer of 2009...
Bobby was one row in front of me and right in front of the wife
and son......Very friendly and told many stories during the flight.
My son went up to him after the flight and he has autographed cards
already in his pocket.

Class act all the way....
