Rev Wright....dude can lay down some smack on white folk

http://dailycaller.com/2012/07/08/re...#ixzz204NAPiA7

Wright later went on to suggest that America’s elite universities infect African Americans with “white racist DNA.”

“Take a baby born an African, as an African in the oven,” he said, using Malcolm X’s saying “just because a cat has kittens in the oven, that doesn’t make them biscuits” as a reference point for his riff.

“Take that baby him or her away from the African mother, away from the African community, away from the African experience. . . and put them Africans at the breasts of Yale, Harvard, University of Chicago, those trinity schools, UCLA or U.C. Berkley. Turn them into biscuits then they’ll get that alien DNA all up inside their brain and they will turn on their own people in defense of the ones who are keeping their own people under oppression.”

“There is white racist DNA running through the synapses of their under-brain tissue,” he continued.

“They will kill their own kind, defend the enemies of their kind or anyone who is perceived to be the enemy of the milky white way of life.”

Romney has served as bishop, and a stake president in the Mormon church~

I don't get why I should care about Romney's views on baptism.

Because it will keep the conversation away from obama's affiliation with Reverend Wright.

It is certainly up there, and that it is being done on someone who hasn't consented gives it a real shot at the top spot. A person lives their life as a Jew or Catholic or whatever, then without ever expressing a desire for it, has Mormon rites over him to "baptize" the dead person into the Mormon faith? Its ****ed up and its wrong.

Yes, ceremonies they consented to, done in the rituals of their religion--the religion they chose while they were alive.

No, I'm the quite intelligent guy who knows he participates in the baptisms of the dead.

Hmmm...

Actually I'm pretty sure the leading cause of death among african american males under 25 is a gunshot wound.

Most of which come from other black males.

Most of whom didn't go to Yale, Harvard, or Princeton to learn how to kill each other. Probably something else at play here....

Also, this man is VERY butt hurt about Obama disowning him. He's clearly talking about the president.

I appreciate it, but it is absolutely true that Mormons do this. And its not one of those obscure facets of the religion that no one actually does. Its a "normal" thing, and Romney participates.

A lot of people are quite pissed about the practice, particularly Jews, and particularly families of Jewish Holocaust victims, who were killed because of their religion.

You could say, "Well, what's the difference what someone does--they're dead and it doesn't matter." But its obviously highly disrepectful to the deceased and their families, as well as just being downright creepy, f'd up, and wrong.

I don't deny that they do it. I deny that it's a big deal. It's no different than people of various faiths and non-faiths offering prayers and positive thoughts for people of other faiths in a CP prayer thread. This is primarily an issue for bigots and the small-minded. It's not creepy. It's not ****ed up. It's not wrong. And perhaps most of all, it's not disrespectful.

As you have said, I have enough respect for your intellect to know you don't really believe any of that laughable garbage.

It is not offering prayers. It is baptizing them in the faith. Converting them after they are dead. If anyone is bigoted, it is the Mormons for presuming that the deceased would want to reject their own religion and be a Mormon. I don't see how it can be described as anything but HIGHLY disrespectful, and, f'd up.
