Clinton's Tax plan, raise taxes 1.3 Trillion! But....

Then she had a boo boo and said she was going to raise the taxes on the " middle class "!

Was it a mistake or the truth? " Tax and Spend ", it's the Democrats way!

Policy proposals run $2.2 trillion deficit

BY: Elizabeth Harrington
August 4, 2016 4:59 am

Hillary Clinton comes up $2.2 trillion short in paying for her policy agenda, despite hiking taxes by $1.3 trillion, according to a new analysis of the Democratic nominee’s campaign platform.

The American Action Forum, a center-right policy institute, released a report Thursday finding Clinton’s domestic agenda would “have a dramatic effect on the federal budget.”

Gordon Gray, American Action Forum’s director of fiscal policy, based the report on estimates of policy proposals from the Clinton campaign itself, as well as independent analyses from the Tax Policy Center and the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget.

Gray found Clinton’s policies for expanding government’s role in family leave and student loans would contribute significantly to the deficit, and in turn a growing national debt that stands at $19.358 trillion.

In fact, the amount of debt held by the public alone would reach $25.825 trillion in 2026 under Clinton’s plan. The amount of debt held by the public today is $13.968 trillion.

“Based on these estimates, Secretary Clinton’s proposals would, on net and over a ten-year period (2017-2026), increase revenues by $1.3 trillion, increase outlays by $3.5 trillion, for a combined deficit effect of nearly $2.2 trillion over the next decade,” Gray wrote.

The report notes that Clinton’s proposals would also increase deficits to 5.7 percent of Gross Domestic Product, and the debt held by the public to 93.4 percent of GDP, “well above the current law projection of 85.6 percent.”

Clinton’s most expensive policy proposal by far is guaranteeing up to 12 weeks of paid family leave at a cost of $1.598 trillion. Her “College Compact” plan that would give free community college tuition for students who work 10 hours a week would cost $347 billion. The campaign says the plan would be fully paid for by hiking taxes on the wealthy.

Clinton’s child care plan would cost $337 billion, while debt free college for future students would cost $107 billion. The tab for universal preschool reaches $66 billion.

The American Action Forum points out that a Clinton administration would likely cost taxpayers more, as the campaign has yet to release financing details for additional proposals.

“This estimate does not include proposals where it does not appear evident that the campaign intended to budget for them, for example, Secretary Clinton expressed support for fully funding the IDEA program (possibly adding $180 billion over the next ten years) and increasing health funding for Puerto Rico (possible cost of $15-20 billion over the next ten years) but did not appear to propose them as discrete spending proposals,” the report said.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So much free stuff, so much debt. Democrats math is fuzzy math.
Nothing about cutting spending or balancing the budget?
My taxes have gone through the roof in the past 8 years and I have nothing good to show for it besides the KC streetcar... I don't have to pay 90 a month to park downtown anymore.
Hillary Thinks Middle-Class Not Taxed Enough
By Deroy Murdock
Standing before am adoring crowd in Omaha on Monday, Hillary Rodham Clinton read from her teleprompter and shouted:
“I’m telling you right now, we’re going to write fairer rules for the middle class, and we are going to raise taxes on the middle class.”
The Democratic presidential nominee did not correct that statement, nor had her campaign, at this writing. Clinton’s official website claims that she wants to offer “tax relief to working families,” although it says nothing about tax cuts for Americans who are single, childless, or both.
As of now, Clinton is on record as advocating tax hikes on America’s middle class.
There is never a good time to raise taxes on the middle class, but now is especially bad. America’s economy is growing at just 1 percent for the first half of 2016.
Obama’s recovery is the worst since 1949, according to The Wall Street Journal. Today’s barely measurable expansion is the weakest in 67 years.
Real median household incomes have slipped under Obama, from $54,925 when he first was inaugurated to $53,657 in 2014. The latest Census Bureau data confirm this 2.3 percent slide.
This situation is so dire that life expectancy has fallen among white women, from 81.2 years to 81.1, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Starved for hope, some white females have surrendered to alcohol, drugs, and suicide.
Clinton has said she would not boost taxes on anyone earning less than $250,000. But when ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked her last December, “Is that a rock-solid promise?” Clinton balked. “Well,” she said, “it certainly is my goal.”
Indeed, Clinton has proposed or embraced several new middle-class taxes:
•Clinton has favored a 25 percent national sales tax on guns since 1993.
•Asked in Des Moines, Iowa on January 11 if she would veto a payroll tax hike on every American, Clinton replied: “No, no.”
•Clinton told Philadelphia voters in April, “I’m very supportive of the mayor’s proposal to tax soda to get universal preschool for kids.”
•Clinton also is open to a tax on carbon dioxide, which would boost price tags across the economy and hammer employment prospects for those looking for work and hoping to keep their jobs.
“Right now we’ve not proposed a carbon tax,” Clinton campaign chief John Podesta told journalists last week. “But if Congress wants to come forward with one, we’ll take a look at it.”
Meanwhile, Democratic vice-presidential nominee Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia wanted to take things even further. As governor, Kaine advocated a tax hike on those who aspired to the middle class. He sought to increase his state’s bottom tax rate from 5.75 percent to 6.75 percent. This would have socked families with annual incomes as low as $17,000.
Clinton-Kaine’s support for middle-class tax hikes would resemble such tax increases under Obama.
Obama told a joint session of Congress in February 2009, “If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime.”
Obama’s promise proved to be yet another lie.
“There are seven tax increases in Obamacare that are in violation of his pledge,” recalls John Kartch of Americans for Tax Reform. These include “the individual mandate non-compliance tax; an income tax hike on those with high medical bills; tax hikes on flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts; and even a 10 percent ‘indoor tanning tax.’”
Also, when Obama hiked cigarette taxes in April 2009, an Associated Press story declared: “Obama Tax Pledge Up in Smoke.”
Bottom line: Democrats love tax revenue more than they love middle-class voters.
Fittingly, as she roared between two TelePrompTer screens on Monday, Clinton hopes to “raise taxes on the middle class.”
This is horrible news for all Americans. Nonetheless, Hillary Clinton deserves great credit for being uncharacteristically transparent about her plans to squeeze the U.S. middle class — good and hard.
I wonder what genius came up with this pile of happy horse-shit?
It turns out that they used a kind of unclear recording and omitted the "n't" when Clinton said "we aren't going to raise taxes on the middle class." Among other things, a reasonable person might have questioned why Clinton would proudly say she was going to raise taxes on the middle class, and why the crowd would cheer loudly if she did.
I hate the Hildebeast as much or more than anybody. But I figured it had to be somehow a mistaken deal. She is a criminal, not an idiot. Announcing a tax hike on the middle class would be a death sentence to any campaign.
Americas middle class is shrinking, but I believe still holds the largest % of people that actually vote. (Is that still true?)
You're actually going to stick with this one? It shouldn't be necessary, but the politico story actually has an audio analysis establishing that she said "n't."
That's "Grade A, B S" man, typical Liberal spin after a gaf, a BIG GAF! This is damage control!
She was so fired up and never meant to say it but it came out of her mouth and she didn't even know it.
But believe what you wish, she is your candidate. If Trump was smart he would record that for commercials and run on it as far as he can!
I still wish we had better candidates, my vote this year will probably mean jackshit. There is nobody I like but there is one I despise as much as an candidate there ever was, The Criminal !
She misspoke but I thought we were required to take every word of every sentence spoken by the candidates as literal and nothing else.
I mean that's the Trump standard anyway.
