Yeah, it was somewhat sarcastic. And I admit that I'm no mormon expert, but the unusual things they believe in really aren't any more supernatural than the beliefs of traditional Christianity. I'll leave it to a mormon to describe their own beliefs.

Oh, they will...they will. Surrogates have been told to hold off those until, say...after the post-GOP convention "bump," I suspect. But it's coming.

A large portion of the undecided/independent electorate hasn't really paid much attention to the race thus far. There are also many voters that wait for the debates to make their decision. At the moment Obama is a known commodity. Romney is not. As the polls stand the national electorate is basically an even split. Romney trails in the electoral race as it stands. A 5 point convention bounce is possible and that will shift the electoral map quite a bit. This is just heating up.

Romney is a polished politician, he isn't a guy who is likely to make gaffes or get carved up in a debate.

Obama's people will coach him up for the debates I'm sure, but he has a glaring weakness - the entire last four years of his life. I think a politician like Romney is probably licking his chops for the debates with all the juicy economic material he has to fire across the stage.

By contrast, the most famous quote Obama has ever uttered is now probably "You didn't build that". Anytime Obama speaks off the cuff, he says too much. He has got plenty of time left to tell us how he really feels.

Obama will be squarely in front of teleprompters from this point forward, but my guess is still that he has another quote or two coming out of Mao's red book before election day.

What approval Obama has left among whites and the middle class is tenuous. He still has plenty of time to unmask himself.

When he has the illegals, and minorities on his side, and when almost 60% of people rely on government subsidized funding, it will be a lot closer than you think.

You guys might want to pull your heads out of the conservative echo-chamber every now and then. Your boy is shitting the bed right now. Kerry pt. II.

Here's an ad currently running in 5 swing states:

I agree this is ad is major pandering and pretty cheesy - but it's pretty damn effective with the target audience (IE - not most of this forum).

I look forward to the Romney camp whining about this ad all over the place and giving it 10x more exposure - just like the first Obama ad, then the tax return and Harry Reid stuff. Some real geniuses he's got running that campaign so far.

Any week that goes by with the attention focuses on Mitt's taxes is a win for Obama. The stuff with Reid is a huge win for Obama. Imagine if Obama were embroiled in a public pissing contest with Mitch McConnel right now. That's a no-win.

This may be true in most of the country. But the only votes that really matter in a handful of swing states are being bombarded with ads as we speak. They're being forced to consider the race sooner than most in the country. Don't assume Missouri and Kansas are representative of the states where presidential votes actually count.

I love to see you guys build up your confidence. It's no fun to crush an already deflated opponent.

Ahh, a little bigotry is the spice of life for you lefties.

There will be things said about Romney and Mormonism that would cause riots if said about blacks.
