We have all heard about what happened in Aurora, Co, and I think that Gun Control is going to be a huge topic in the following months.


What measures need to be taken? Do you have any ideas that will help prevent this kind of thing from happening again as it pertains to guns?

Tell that to the parents of the 7 children in critical condition. And, what about the nightmares all 22 grow up with? Without proper attention anyone of these 22 could be the next to come to school with a knife.

The game could go on and on. I'm not ok with anyone going to a school, a church, a mall, an airport, a plane, a Luby's cafeteria, a federal building, a market, etc. with guns knives or bombs and the intent to "make a statement", "be remembered", or any other religious, political or "momma didn't love me enough" motive.

We agree it needs to stop, we just disagree that taking my gun away from me is going to help.

You are correct. The legislation worked great in Norway. That guy only killed 4 times as many people as murdered yesterday.

And because of lenient wackos he is eligible for parole in 20 years.

The most recent info I can find states that in 2010 there were 8,775 murders by firearms in the US. There were 12,996 murders overall.

I'm not even saying fewer guns would lessen these numbers. Lot's of countries have as many, if not more guns than we do, and they don't have nearly these numbers. We're a nation that likes to kill each other, and I don't know why.

The point is, they're still parents. And those kids will be alive to have nightmares.

I'm not saying knives for everybody. I'm saying, any society would prefer knife attacks to gun killing sprees.
