He compromised on many occasions, including his final tax reform in 1986 that resulted in a top marginal tax rate of 28%. His goal was to flatten the tax rate structure. Then, as now, democrats wanted more progressivity. Ever since the ink was dry on the deal, democrats have been trying to push the top rate back up (with the help of GHWBush on one occasion).

Not my doing. I just took the picture. My sons.

We have had people knock on our door to tell us they love the sign. Ask if we need some money to keep it up. It's been in the local paper. We were leaving this afternoon and the lawn care guys that were taking care of the house across the street came up and said how much they loved the sign. People are stopping on the street to read it and laugh.

I thought it was some stupid thing a teenager did, but for whatever reason people just like that stupid sign.

welll I do live a kind of boring life these days. But his making a crude sign, nah, I thought it was really stupid when I saw it the first time and asked him to take it down, so WTF do I know????

He's been spending a lot of time over at a college classmates house that happens to work as a waitress at Hooters. Now, thats my kind of vicarious living.

One of President Barack Obama's supporters made things a little tricky for the people responsible for stealing election signs from his front yard. It all started when David Morris of St. Petersburg and his neighbors wanted to show their support for the President with yard signs.

"We said we were in a pretty conservative area, stereotypically, so we thought we should all put our signs out," he said.

"The lady who lives over there went and got some signs, and we all put them out. And they were gone in a day or two," said neighbor David Simpson.
Over the next few weeks, 12 signs disappeared. Morris decided not to give up. Instead, he got creative."When I saw it, I had to laugh," said Simpson.

Signs now warn thieves that Morris will gladly buy new ones and the Obama campaign will get another $6 donation. You think about it and all of the political campaigns take in so much money, and so you are really not helping yourself by stealing this sign. You'll just end up donating more money to the campaign," he laughed.

Morris said ever since he put up the additional note, the rest of his campaign signs have been safe.
