Wright said hateful things from the pulpit, it was covered and brought up repeatedly by most media outlets (on a loop by FOX) as if everything he said was a justification for belief by everyone in the pews.

Is it fair to bring up the fact that up until 1978 the official church position toward blacks was they were not considered "worthy" to participate in church ceremonies? Maybe not, but it hardly seems a stretch to see the correlations.

Reverend Wright has 6 million google hits compared to 4 million for Dick Cheney. These are totals. If you narrow Cheney's hits to those containing some version of "go f yourself", it isn't even close. I'm not sure what google hits prove, but if we're going to prove anything about the 2008 campaign, we should limit our results to that time period. If we look at the year from Nov. 1, 2007 to Nov. 1, 2008, here are the results of your query:

Reverend Wright - 50,100 hits

Dick Cheney - 162,000 hits

Or alternatively...

well, in some areas of small town georgia romney's mormonism is a problem...

i have relatives there who are republicans and they aren't going to vote for a mormon, preferring to just stay home...
