For those who don't believe evolution to be true, are you also young earth creationists? To me that is really the only reason anyone would have that doesn't allow evolution to fit into their beliefs. I could be wrong on that interpretation though.

Because the people that don't accept it use the term believe and the post you are quoting is more about religious beliefs considering young earth creationism is based on nothing but biblical beliefs. Go back in all my other posts you will see I say "accept."

Not going all the way back, since religion threads aren't really my thing, especially ones that mock "believers." I was just wondering why from your last post or two why you would even use the word "believe" if you think it's a fact.

Personally, I don't see why anyone should be that concerned about who accepts evolution or not. It has zero effect on my life.

You misunderstood my point, which I didn't go into much detail so I understand why. You are looking for little pieces of my post to try and build a "case" against my beliefs. Fit, as in whatever they believe and believe is the truth. Don't look into a single word so much.

Because people try to put evolution on the same level as religious belief systems. By criticizing and denying evolution they are also criticizing the same things that make daily life possible, that being anything that relies on science. They want evolution taught differently as if it does not follow the same rigors as the theory of relativity. It is a way of thinking that undermines the scientific establishment and everything that it has ever accomplished. I suppose you wouldn't mind if people wanted us to stop saying that the earth revolves around the sun either.
