Why people laugh at Creationists

Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

[EDIT New video here]

So on with the show:

Here's the Kent Hovind Theory:

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many.
Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.
Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.
Do not believe in traditions simply because they have been handed down for many generations.
But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."

As far as intellectual ability and where one will find what ever level of it that they will find . I would suggest to you that really intelligent people dont necessarily dwell within the halls of our greatest universities as much as around them. By circling round and round counterclockwise the energy flows upward. Meanwhile everyone within the circle climbs up only to find themselves at the bottom the very next day to do it all over again. King David played the mad man to avoid being killed and the Fool trumps the Magician.
All the really intelligent people are running in circles counterclockwise around the greatest universities because energy flows upward?

I see.....

I play guitar.
See...these are the moments where it falls apart.

Music is math. Sounds are nothing but waves. All calculable and repeatable. It is indeed all energy. But you're trying to add a mystical component that simply isn't necessary or applicable. What was magic 1000 years ago is simply science now. Understandable in ways they just couldn't imagine then.

Your statement. You had a coherent thought going on and then dropped in a non sequitur. It derailed the entire process of communication, and you ended up with a null.

i never knew any old indians but i knew people who had had that kind of experience in the southwest during the early years of the counter culture...

yeah, i never tell any stories any more because hardly anybody believes that an old guy was ever young and a bit wild...

i came of age during the sexual revolution that coincided with the emerging drug culture...

sex, drugs and rock and roll, baby!!!

I'm going to start a "Go Bowe drug induced stories" thread. I was born 30 years to late. That same guy is still pissed off to this day that he was in boot camp for Woodstock.

How many words do I know? LOL? I don't judge someone's intelligence on how many words they know in any language. "More mysterious" does not equate to "More interesting or intelligent".

You studied Oriental medicine? What medical school did you go to?

You have to be careful about the right hand rule. It doesn't work in any other dimensions besides 3 (and partially in 7). It really doesn't describe a "force" in that third direction. That is how we treat it in vector calculus for the last 100 years but we now have better mathematical tools that generalize to any dimension. It is an indication of keeping track of the starting point and the direction of movement in some direction that then sweeps out an "oriented area." That orientation is arbitrary, neither left or right mathematically speaking. They are "opposite." For example the vertices of a triangle can be ABC or ACB. (Think about walking the perimeter) and therefore oriented opposite of each other. The flow of energy in the physical world was overwhelmingly in one direction over the other and we call that direction right handed in observing it in three dimensions. Not four dimensions though when you step into time as a dimension.
