Why people laugh at Creationists
Taking a lead from Killer Clown I thought I'd create a alternative thread to post some videos I like...

If religious people could listen to reason this world might be a better place. Honestly, religion really is the root to all evil.

The only difference between God and Hitler is that God didn't discriminate, God just wanted everybody dead.

But Hitler isn't God -- that's quite a difference, even if the end results are similar (mass death and suffering). God can take life away with more legitimacy because he gave it to us in the first place. Hitler never had that claim. We didn't do anything to deserve God's gift of life to us. What the Lord giveth, the Lord taketh away, as it goes -- that's always been the understanding, even if an unsatisfying one.

With that logic, you would consider it ok to kill your own children since you made them.........but it's not ok.

No, not the same. We're still humans, even if we biologically made children. Humans killing humans is evil. God is not human. That's the logic. Again, unsatisfying, but not unreasonable to the point of saying that Old Testament God is just like Hitler. There's something vastly different between the two that shouldn't take much explaining to realize.
