I'm from Iowa. I went to New York/New Jersey to get away from grass and trees and plants. I can walk across the street and go to a giant park with a big pond full of ducks any day. I needed steel and glass skyscrapers and street vendors.

I plan on visiting LA someday, but going to a park is almost certainly the last thing I would do.

Thanks, is it safe for women?

No. Dane unintentionally impregnates most female visitors who just can't help themselves.

Did you get use to all the noise? I live in a high-rise - but you hear the fire engines, police sirens, helicopters.

I lived at the corner of Sunset and Fairfax in Hollywood for more than three years. When we moved to the Hills, it took me more than three months before I could sleep through the night because it was so unbelievably quiet.

When I'm in NY, I sleep like a log.

When I stayed in Manhattan, it was at the Broadway Hostel, almost near Harlem. So it wasn't too busy at night that it would keep me up.

I loved the activity. There were nights I just walked around all night. Around Times Square area. I could to a movie at 1am when things started dying down. I realized that the city does sleep, around the 3-6am hour, but there was always some place I go to and read while I waited for morning.

Do you have a rooftop area, Dylan? I think that would be the coolest thing to have.

There was a son of a Russian czar centuries ago that, because of the inbreeding, had a mental disability and just wanted to ring church bells all day and look down upon the city.

Sometimes I feel like I could be that heir to the throne, because one of the greatest thrills for me is going to the top of a building and looking out over what humans have come together to create. I think those skylines are 10x more beautiful than a mountain on the horizon.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about living in the city though. I would do it in a second, but I could see it not working out more than a couple of years.

I have a friend that has a rooftop view around 44th and and 3rd. A bunch of us went to NY for my 42nd a few years back and it was crazy. Went out drinking all night, stopped in this guy's place and back out again.

We literally had to restrain a few guys from going on the deck because they were so wasted. If they had gotten too close, they could have fallen over and died. It was kinda scary.

Although you have to be careful walking around the city late at night.

I'm very careful at night. As a woman living in New York City, I tend to keep my guard up - way up. Women have to live in a doorman building. In my building we have four doorman on each shift, cameras everywhere... It's like Fort Knox to get in.

My parents have a country house - When I'm out there, I cannot sleep with the window open- EVER - locked windows, locked doors, car doors locked, the doberman sleeping with me in the bedroom and trailing by my side 24/7 - and I still don't feel safe.

That shouldn't even matter when it comes to elections. This is the crap that really disappoints me about Americans.

Now if that "nonwhite" as you put it, is the most qualified candidate, then fine. If you are putting him/her out there just because of skin color, well then.......................
