Obama versus Romney, circa 1979

I'm sure that many of you have been wondering what Mitt Romney was up to while Barack Obama was busy strong-arming people for his own personal benefit ("interceptions"), and issuing dictatorial commands to his Choom Gang (penalizing those who failed to heed his "total absorption" and "roof hits" rules). Here's a part of the answer in what Byron York called the "most extraordinary story" of the GOP convention.

Here's another outstanding and endearing video about Mitt, who much like a corporation, is actually also a person. If you can't stand watching the entire 10 minutes because you want to cling to your vision of Mitt the Inhuman, at least do yourself a favor and watch 20 seconds of it starting at the 5:16 point to see how much of a fiscally responsible person and outside-the-box problem solver he is.

Very cool videos, and very revealing about the man behind the podium.

Thanks for posting them, patteeu.

Videos produced to run at the Republican National Convention about the Republican nominee for president are typically the most honest and revealing source of information. The celebrity endorsements were especially valuable. The title of this video should be "The Messiah" or perhaps "The One."

Public Relations, Marketing and Advertising can really cover up a lot. Some people buy fancy packaging.
Romney did not support Ronald Reagan in 1980 and 1984. He is a Massachusetts Liberal who stated when he ran up there that he didn't want to go back to Reagan/Bush.

I thought that was a really nice story and it was perfect for the convention. He did the right thing for a mother and father and for the son they were losing when there werent any cameras around.

But I also remember that time Obama bought ten people beers at the Iowa state fair. The media paid so much attention to that, I can only assume those guys were all terminally ill too.

Too bad he ruined it by wheelling the mother and father onstage in front of the cameras to tell everyone how wonderful he was.

"Paid so much attention" = 10 seconds during a story on his campaign activities for the day

Clearly Romney was planning his 2012 presidential run when he did this in 1979.

Do you have any idea in how poor a light your perpetual dickhead-ity casts anything you advocate?

Probably not 2012, but likely 2008.
