Geno Smith fans roll call

NEW THREAD HEADER (11/17/12):

The list is gone. We will all be Geno Smith fans when he gets drafted by the Chiefs. For historical documentation's sake, I'll keep the list in a separate post on this thread: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=3314

WHY GENO SMITH?
If you're wondering if Geno Smith is right for you, check out this brilliant post by Saccopoo:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showp...postcount=5388

Next, we have a few GIFs you may be interested in from the Oklahoma game. Insane potential. These are the elite throws that very few QBs can make. What more can I say? Geno Smith can be a franchise QB in the NFL, and the Chiefs need to take a shot on him.

GIF #1:

GIF #2:

GIF #3 (My favorite):
Spoiler!

HOW DO WE GET HIM HERE?

Glad you asked. I posted this checklist earlier. It probably belongs in the thread header, and will be updated as the Chiefs close out their season and start a new chapter in their franchise story.

Preparing for Geno Smith's Arrival In KC Checklist

1. [X] Lose games and acquire the #1 overall pick
2. [X] Get ***** and the Patriot Way cronies the **** out
3. [X] Hire new GM/coach

OPTIONAL (but highly recommended):
4. [ ] Re-sign/tag Bowe, who really wants to play in KC with Geno
5. [ ] Re-sign/tag Albert

Welp, I'm hard. Note that WVU was down 21-6 in this game and came back to win in OT.

I just don't see him going to KC, we're a cursed franchise. Tyson Jackson is the worst pick of all time, even if he went to NE or the 49ers or like the steelers, he still would be trash, its not about the coach, it's the motivation. After him and Dorsey won that championship, they pretty much stopped giving a **** after they got those massive contracts, it's like they already won a bowl and accomplished everything.

***** was just listening to Les Miles way too much, that draft was horrible but even fuccin crabtree would of been a way better pick regardless of injury, I wasn't on here back in the day but were people expecting *****, Hunt and the crew to draft Freeman?

Geno's the flashiest pick and the best though, if we don't take him and take that Teo or w/e, it's just waste.

I don't need to hash out Matt Barkley as a prospect anymore than I already have on this board repeatedly.

The guy makes a convincing case for Barkley.

Geno is simply better, though. He's overlooking a LOT of great things about Geno Smith in that entry. It's nothing more than pure sophistry.

I wholeheartedly agree, but I wouldn't describe it as "factually incorrect" or "shitty". I also don't think me posting an opposing view warrants a neg rep. Either way, as an opposing fan, I think both have the potential to be elite.

I disagree. Barkley to me, looks like an Andy Dalton clone.

He isn't going to ever be confused with Rodgers, Brady, Manning, Brees, etc IMO

Other than size, do you have anything to back that up? And please don't say "because they play similar". Dalton and Barkley aren't similar at all in my opinion. From physical skills to playing style.

The blog uses YPA as evidence of arm strength. Look at the ****ing tape. Barkley has a below-average arm by NFL standards. It will limit the routes he can throw and the coverages he can throw in to. Second, the article mentions "too much tape" on Barkley. Smith has just as much tape as Barkley does. Third, the article is completely dismissive of potential/upside. Fourth, this article is written completely from statistics. The writer probably hasn't even watched a USC game this year.

No, it doesn't warrant a neg, but as you can tell we've been talking QBs all season instead of watching or caring about our team. And can you really blame us?

It's just nothing new, that's all. We're just eager for ***** to get fired at this point, and then for the college football season to be over so we can get to senior bowl stuff and legit draft talk.
