Mitch is a great announcer. Passionate and exciting. But his homerism takes make his football opinions almost unbearable outside of announcing games..

Although I find the "hammer down" thing unbearable, you guys are lucky to have him. He's one of the best voices in the business, let alone the league ... wacky nicknames or no, Mr. penguinz. I'd love to hear him call a Super Bowl. He'd get so excited he would probably gnaw off Lenny's nose.

You should hear Mike Keith, the Tacks broadcaster. 3 hours of that guy and you will realize how lucky you are. You never know the down and distance and his catchphrases include, "Wow" and "Holy Wow". So loosen the ol' cummerbund and count your blessings.

I like Mitch, but you can't listen to a damn thing he has to say outside of the actual game broadcasts. If you put any stock into the things that he says in his spots on 810 (especially during training camp), you'd get your expectations built up so much that a game like the Bills last week would cause you to go shopping for seppuku swords.
