Obama to Millennials: You will love ObamaCare like you Love paying Soc Security...

Liar in Chief is out working his scam like mad. Assumes millennials are dumb enough to go for his bullshit one more time...

President Obama on Thursday urged young people to sign up for Obamacare, telling them they would realize the benefits are “priceless.”

In an interview on MSNBC’s “Hardball with Chris Matthews,” the president said he understood why young people have been hesitant to enroll in the new law’s insurance exchanges after the botched rollout. But he insisted that once young people become aware of the benefits from the health law, they will sign up.

“For young people to recognize that it is in their financial interest and their health interest to be able to get on-going preventive care, to be able to get free contraception and, you know, benefits like mammograms that allow them to maintain their health throughout their lives, without fear of going bankrupt or making their family bankrupt if they get sick, that’s something that’s priceless,” Obama said.

Obama is so clueless economically, that he doesn't realize that a true market people vote with their feet and dollars. If the players don't see the value...they don't exchange their dollars. He can't command that it be so.

Mammograms not so much.

However, when you get a bill for child support from a dumb money grubber, the value of contraception rises like a pecker on viagra.

Oh he gets it. If young people don't sign up his great vision in in peril.

Never mind he blatantly lied to the public. It's now all about him going down in history as a failure.

The tough part is, young and healthy people not buying insurance in general is a pretty big market problem. But this is a terrible approach to tackling the problem.

If young and healthy people bought insurance and got regular checkups then they would stand a better chance to not be old unhealthy people who can't afford the medical bills and rely on the young and healthy.

Preventative is huge. I'm also looking at it from an insurance standpoint. Insurance is based on pooling money where risky people share risk with non-risky people. The law of large numbers is the more in your premium pool, the more you can diversify away people's individual risk.

It works for car insurance because everybody is required to have it. Younger people being in the pool dramatically brings everyone's premiums down. Because they would bring down the average payout per paying policyholder.

They shouldn't be pissed about it either. It's the young people who drive up the cost of car insurance.

The trouble with health insurance is that it only affects me. If I don't pay my health insurance, it's like not paying off a credit card to pay off the treatment. With car insurance, if I'm not at fault, I have to rely on a complete stranger to pay for my car damage. So that's where free market breaks down.

Health insurance is a tougher one for me because there is only one party affected. But at the same time, young people not signing up is an enormous drain on the system and you're absolutely right, their refusal to get preventative care is only going to lead to long-term drain on the health care system.
