That's a pretty reasonable take.

I watched on CNN and had my eyes glued to the approve/disapprove meter running at the bottom of the screen and Romney definitely outperformed general expectations for him and even had a handful of moments where he connected with the female undecideds. If they are smart they are looking at the same data and messaging around those things that worked.

Nailed it.

Al Gore comes to mind as someone who literally made 100 million dollars as a result of the government picking winners and losers. But Gore isn't really a part of the Obama administration, so that's not really an answer to your question.

The better answer is that the government and the people in charge are accumulating power. When you have the power, the money follows.

"Trickle down government" is a non-sequitur.

Hey the government is grossly inefficient or is misallocating and wasting resources, I get. But when the analogy fails where there is no identifiable place or stream of "trickling".

Isn't Romney also trying to accumulate power?

Appreciate you not posting some retarded "Duurr" comment with some freshman dorm-poster juvenile image and understanding that people can have rational reasons for disagreeing.

Pawn is actually one of my favorite posters on this board. I'll admit he's an acquired taste, though. (no homo)

What does wealth have to do with his term? Trickle down economics is about wealth. Trickle down government is about control.

Romney is suggesting that Obama is interested in expanding the government's influence ever deeper into our private lives, and I can't disagree.

I got the sense Romney was using trickle down government to highlight how Obama sees government as the provider of jobs.
