Ohio State third-string quarterback freshman Cardale Jones gave his opinion on Friday via Twitter about what he thinks about attending class, reports the Detroit Free Press.


“Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain’t come to play SCHOOL classes are POINTLESS,” he wrote on Twitter.

Jones’ twitter account has since been deleted.

Jones is in his first season at Ohio State and hasn’t played this season. He will likely redshirt, and is behind behind Braxton Miller and Kenny Guiton on the depth chart.

Jones spent a year at a prep school in Virginia to take care of his academics after signing with the Buckeyes out of Cleveland Glenville High last year.

No, he actually is considered a grey shirt, he had to go to prep school because his grades were so low. He will likely never see action at Ohio State, Miller has a couple years left, and we have the top QB in Texas TJ Barrett coming in next year. Cardale is a very gifted athlete, but he is very dumb. Also he was redshirted this season, he doesn't have a chance at getting in.

I found college pointless and I was on the Deans list many times. Academically anyway, it was a waste of time.

The pay for these kids is a LOT more than their education. These guys get five years of the best coaching on the planet and years of auditions for jobs that pay millions. The education, stipends, etc. are just gravy.
