I am unaware of Republicans or Democrats cheering anything of the sort. Romney is using the poor and dishonest handling of the situation as an example of what many would consider a disjointed and incorrect foreign policy in the Middle East. This tragedy really isn’t fair to drop at the Feet of the President but, like the Death of OBL the credit and the blame often follows the POTUS. The Administration did make their own bed in that regard.

It is clear to me that the timing of this terrorist attack in relation to the election has made a big difference in the GOP response to it.

Romney and the GOP have been publicly reprimanded by the Navy seal Doherty's mother and his friends for trying to exploit the tragedy for politics.

Ambassador Stevens' family has also publicly reprimanded Romney and the GOP for trying to make political hay out of this terrorist attack.

No need to waste time arguing about your opinion. You may be right but I really can’t prove or disprove what they “would” have done had the timing been different. Though the most significant thing to me was that it was on 9-11

This is accurate.

If you call saying I don’t know what he has or hasn’t said but would hope this is not being used for political purposes a public reprimand.. then OK

It is also accurate that the ball regarding security was dropped. Requests for more security we ignored and innocent people died needlessly. The administration made a very vague reference about terrorist "acts" then spent a couple weeks yipping about a stupid offensive movie that nobody has seen and certainly came across as trying to distract and or misled the public about what happened and why. These actions ( at least to many of us) are far more offensive than the Rights motivation for pointing them out in the first place.

My understanding is that the testimony last week was that the same people that testified regarding the requested security enhancements also testified that the requested security enhancements would not have repelled the attack that happened.

The thing about having mortal enemy terrorists is that some of their terrorist attacks kill people because they direct enough deadly force at a target.

This is the first occasion in my recollection where a deadly terrorist attack against our people has been such cause for immediate celebration and immediate blame.

You should realize that FOX news and the right wing blogs are not telling the truth about the adminstration's statements since this happened.

I agree that Susan Rice was inaccurate on the sunday shows, but that was not an administration conspiracy, that was just her special ability to say stupid sh*t during tv interviews. Nobody else in the administration said what she said.

If Obama is re-elected, I hope he will not nominate her for Secretary of State, because she has a bad habit of saying stupid things.

Country comes before political party, especially when terrorists kill our people.

I think this is going to backfire on GOP even more than it has already. USA is more important than political party, they are crossing the line.
