Yup. Obama said he wanted to introduce a new Assault Weapons Ban. I suspect the NRA is working on some ads using that sound byte.

Not sure is Obama's performance is enough to stop Romney's momentum.

In a forensics class it's probably a draw.
In the real world, the economy is the issue here and Obama has very clear problems debating when the topic of his record comes up. He races around to other topics and is always basically saying "sorry, but give me another chance." So, I think Romney scored early and often on the number one issue in this campaign. The Fast and Furious dodge was just sad though. It's sad that Brian Terry worked for this Commander in Chief who won't even acknowledge a direct question about how it was that he got murdered with a gun his subordinates bought. |

While I think Romney won on substance I am calling it a tie. Obama was typical Obama and for some reason people like that.

When you start interupting and asking the moderator to change the subject it shows a sign of weakness.

I think Romney won the topics on the economy, and that is what is going to decide things in the end. Also, Obama jumped out of his chair and interrupted way too much. Obama was clearly more negative as well.

Obama wins the "who will you cry with about not having a job"
Romney wins "who will likely help make you a job"

This debate might move undecided voters one way or another but I don't see how. I can't even see that there could be that many undecided voters. Is the choice between the two not clear enough?

Obama also handled the gas price question very badly.

I said it in the other thread. Really it seems to be a draw ideologically... everybody thinks their guy beat down the other guy. Romney probably won on the economy because he was able to beat down Obama's record over 15 rounds. I think Obama probably beat Romney on women's issues... which will probably be underrated since most people here and on these TV networks are stuffy white people. "Binders of women" and the comments about single mothers seem to be very poorly received.
