Obama stopped the bleeding and won by Romney's mishandling of the Libya question alone. He reshaped his administration's entire stance and policy toward the attack in his response, and Mitt let him off the hook. How Mitt let a technicality (Whether Obama used the word terror or not) drive his main analysis was a crucial error.

I'll just say that these town hall "debates" are terrible. They encourage flashiness and rhetoric, and that's precisely what we got. As a result, this style of debate unfortunately has a stronger effect on the viewers despite relating to the issues much less.

Yeah, this type of debate is painful to watch and doesn't accomplish much. The format of the first one needs to be used, and they need to develop some kind of stronger structure around time and interruptions.
