KSU vs Alabama for Natl Champion - Who wins?
After watching KSU last night and granted it was against an overrated sports media hyped WVU team that has a Def ranked 115, however Geno is not overrated, he just can't do it all. KSU's game all around was just phenomenal and especially their D that I believe is just as good as Alabama.

Who wins this potential Natl Championship game?

It's simple. They have players that were recruited to a Big 12 school, and they run a spread offense, much like they have the last three years (new coaching staff or not). Manziel has been great, but not like Tannehill was a bad QB, guy was a top 10 pick for goodness sake.

Until a few years ago I was a LIFE LONG KS resident and I have always been a huge KSU fan. But for KSU to win the NC it would mean a few teams would have to lose and KSU win out. Then it would probably mean KSU would have to face and SEC team and as much as a despise Gaurdian's pompousness on the state of the NCAA and the BCS he is correct ON ONE thing... the SEC is loaded with talent.

Now with that being said I remember back in the 80's when Nebraska was a power house and they had walk-on talent that was better than most other great college program starters. Nebraska would just walk over most teams with raw talent and shear will. Once in a blue moon a good team with raw emotion and riding high on said emotion would throw the Huskers for a loop. (See Alabama VS T-A&M)

Could this happen with KSU?? Possibly.. but for preservation of bad mojo I would like to think it would take the stars to align and a multitude of great things go in KSU's direction.

KSU should be #1 in the BCS now. If they win out, I don't see how they would not be playing for the NC.

If Oregon and ND win out, there win not be an SEC team playing for the NC, either.

If you've seen KSU get the shaft from the BCS as much as most of us K-State fans have you wouldn't be so confident that they won't get shafted yet again.

Where was such talk coming from? Complete idiots? Any college football team would get blown off the team by a professional team (whether you're talking about NFL or even the CFL). If somebody fails to grasp that basic concept about any college sport, they're not somebody to be taken seriously.

In any case, the SEC remains the best college conference in the country whether Alabama lost a game in-conference or not. I don't think that's ever been in doubt. The key word there, though, is college.

My bad. Should have just said Alabama was overrated. But seeing as they are the best in that conference I lumped it all together. Whatever though its just an opinion.
