I would imagine because she has her sights on trying to run for President again. If she lets the lie continue, it really makes her look bad. I don't think she wants to fall on her sword for Obama.

Yeah but I just don't see how Bill's ego and temperment allows him to campaign for Obama in light of this.

I could also see Hillary fessing up which shows she tried to take the heat but in the end her conscience wouldn't allow it and she'd be right in there in 2016.
