Obama Refuses to Answer ‘Repeated Questions on Whether Requests for Help in Benghazi

Update (5:53 PM ET): President Barack Obama reportedly refused to provide a direct answer to repeated questions on whether requests for help in Benghazi were denied as the attack was underway during an interview with 9News in Denver on Friday.

Kyle Clark, a reporter with 9News, asked the president about the requests for help and whether or not it was fair to make Americans wait for answers on Benghazi until after the election.

“The election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed and us wanting to find out exactly what happened,” Obama said. “Nobody wants to find out more what happened than I do.”
The president went on to say he wants to “gather all the facts” and find out “exactly what happened” and bring justice to the terrorists who attacked the U.S. mission in Libya.

“President Obama was directly asked twice whether pleas for help on the ground in Libya were denied during the attack. Both times, he repeated his standard call for a thorough investigation,” 9News reports.

Here is Obama’s full response to the question:


“Well, we are finding out exactly what happened. I can tell you, as I’ve said over the last couple of months since this happened, the minute I found out what was happening, I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. Number two, we’re going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn’t happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice. And I guarantee you that everyone in the state department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number one priority making sure that people were safe. These were our folks and we’re going to find out exactly what happened, but what we’re also going to do it make sure that we are identifying those who carried out these terrible attacks.”

2. Diane Feinstein said she would not start an investigation until mid-November

3. Obama is claiming he has no idea what happened


All politics aside....ARE YOU ****ING SERIOUS!?!?! It's been over a month and you are still out there talking about "we are trying to figure out what happened" ?

Here's what we know today:

1. Ambassador asked for more security
2. Ambassador and security notified DC there was a problem on the night of 9/11
3. There was a drone providing video as it happened during the 7 hour assault.
4. Seals on the ground made multiple attempts to ask for additional help.
5. Help was available and denied.
6. Emails/Flash messages were sent about the situation room and 300 others immediately.
7. The situation room had the direct feed.
8. After the attack, both the President and SOS claimed it was due to a protest of the video, for two weeks.
9. Now, the President claims he knew it was a terrorist act, but failed to respond.

Why?

What more is there to investigate?

There are some things above even an election. Im not sure if you're serious or not, but this is one thing that has to be taken with the utmost seriousness. In the end of it all, if Obama had denied it and told them not to respond, it's time to be a man about it and admit mistakes. Not doing so and trying to form another story around the 'why' only makes it worse. Knowing and letting it happen is unthinkable and while I have my suspicions about Obama and his leadership, would still give him the BOTD if he came out and admitted mistakes.

He's never done that with anything big or small...that's telling.

I'd like to not be serious, but with every day passing it appears more and more that the silence from the POTUS is designed to just get him thru the election without having to man up. I hope not but it sure is looking that way
