oh, you're correct on that. I just went with opposite because that's what it seems like at times. we need two LEGIT parties, that's more correct.

Blame the system.

Although if it were based on popular vote, the same people that have lost every election other than three, would have lost again tonight.

I'm sorry but it's a lose-lose.

This. The real problem is that the Republicans don't know who they are, who they want to be, who to appeal to, or how to appeal to them. The whole party has been in disarray.

Its still close, 96% counted but the lead is tiny. If it holds, the Dems will have won an open seat in freaking North Dakota.
Rick Berg is a piece of shit. A pool of vomit.

We North Dakotans may think Republican, but we can't stand douchebags.

Heidi Heitkamp is a pretty damn popular politician in this state. People really like her. In 2000 when John Hoeven was running for governor for the first time, she was his opponent and very nearly beat him until she got breast cancer and had to drop out.

Had that not happened, it's possible North Dakota never would have known the John Hoeven decade, a very important and successful time in the state's history.

I don't think this should be that surprising if you know how North Dakota tends to vote.

Can you imagine what the Rs would have done to a D-nominee Romney? They managed to make Kerry into a joke over one flip-flop issue that wasn't even really a flip-flop (voting for the war, then criticizing how it was run). I think they might have shredded a D Romney.

Yeah, because the Democrats want to tell women they can't have an abortion, under ANY circumstance, whether it's incest, rape or the life of the mother.

The Democrats ALSO want to outlaw In-Vitro fertilization, which helps hundreds of thousands of couples conceive every year.

The Democrats also want to outlaw stem cell research and the teaching of evolution in public schools.

Also marijuana is bad. The Democrats want that outlawed, too, even medical marijuana.

Damn Democrats. Always infringing on my rights as a human being.
