I had satellite for a little over a year. It was far better than dialup, but yes it was expensive.

Then I had a line-of-sight wireless service for about a year after that. It was about the same price as satellite but better latency for interactive applications like games and voip. Unfortunately, it wasn't reliable.

I've got minimal DSL now, but it's so much better than anything I've had out here in my rural area that I feel lucky.

That would be true. She publicly gave her own campaign money to Akin in the primary. Perfectly leagal and looks like a great strategy.

She ran adds during the primary calling Akin "too conservative" for Missouri. Obviously was the preferred candidate.

Probably because the Republican party was dumb enough to elect someone worse than Obama.

Amid everyone calling for him to drop out, it was kind of funny to see her defending his status as the people's choice to be the nominee.

My experience with satellite when I lived in Galena was it was blazing when it was clear and didn't do anything when cloudy/rainy. Pain in the ass for the price.

I, by no means, am implying that you couldn't afford it, I'm just saying a lot of people couldn't.
