I would be interested to know what the alternative is for the Republicans. They will NEVER win votes from some of these blocks. Really what we're seeing is the death of the bipartisan system.
The democrat party is like Saddam Hussein or the Saudi ruling family. They use (mostly imaginary) outside threats (like rich people) to unite people that would otherwise be ripping each other apart.

I hope to God you mean the real Tea Party and not this bastardization that the GOP has embraced the last two years.

If they give up those issues, they have literally nothing to run on.

Exit polls suggest that somewhere between 53 and 55 percent of Americans think Obama is doing good enough on the ECONOMY.

The Republicans don't have anything in which to differentiate themselves and the tenants that are truly different (ie. social issues) make them unelectable.

Whatever the D's do, they do it well. And the R's need to come up with some way to combat that. There needs to be some serious soul searching in the GOP. Something has to give, and changes need to be made.

Obama has been a horrible President, there is no reason for this election to be close. And barring a four state sweep of Romney in FL, VA, NC, and OH, Obama will win another term.

And in 2016 they will have to defend Texas. In 2020, it could go blue due to the Latino vote.

The way Republicans win the moderate vote is to be more like the Democrats. The Republican Party is dying.
