How half of America lost its ****ing mind

http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-reason...e-talks-about/

In light of today thought this was in interesting read. COMING from a small rural town, I can relate.

I don't post much here in dc, so not sure what the usual process is, so here's the link.

Nah it's a good read. We had a decent discussion about it within the last few days. It's probably buried somewhere in DC. It's not THAT old....end of last week i think?

I agree, but that's not necessarily his process here. I took it as more of an attention grab to read and see that it didn't really lose its mind.

It just resonated with me.

Coming from a small rural town that basically stays a townbecause the railroad has a hub there.

Moving to kc for school and traveling to other urban areas have been very eye opening for me. GOOD and bad I guess

I enjoyed reading that, very well written. Interesting perspective and a lot of truths. Now excuse me while I go slit my wrists.

Seriously though, some of us detest cities. When I was young, I loved the action and could go for days without stopping "on the natch."

But now, the noise, traffic and endless laws are a total turn off.

This morning, while enjoying a cup of coffee, a huge bald eagle flew right over me. Outside, at night, it is totally black without light pollution.

We live here now, I grew up in a little town in the MO Ark border (Thayer) that as I said, is an uber conservative railroad town of about 2k people.

Tried reading this, but it was paragraph after paragraph of obvious stuff we already know. Couldn't keep going. Any bullets on the part that was groundbreaking?
