Any young QB's worth trading out of the 1st overall for?

Assuming the QB talent blows nutsack in the draft this year?

Colin Kaepernick is looking pretty nasty right now...

Try to pick up Matt Flynn's contract.

Seriously though, the Niners have even busted out the pistol formation a couple times tonight. Pretty impressive... although Kaepernick played at Nevada, where they literally invented the offense. He's obviously got a pretty good head on his shoulders.
Ya, followed him a bit there at UNR. IIRC he was a heisman consideration during his sr year. He's a 2nd rndr and well worth the pick imo. I liked him in college, smart player and he does have similar talent of GS, I agree.

We should trade for him.

so because the 9ers 2nd round QB looks promising after 1 half, we should not draft a QB #1 and go for a 2nd round one?

c'mon man

I don't know why they don't just trade Matt Cassel and Billy Butler for Tom Brady. Then the Chiefs could draft an OT or something instead.

hey now.... thats a reach if thats what you think i said...

The idea happened to cross my mind as I saw a young talent blossom before my eyes. What if this 2nd rounder, or any of the other high potential young bucks, is better than any of the top prospects, come draft time?

Merely digging, not suggesting.

Sorry, that's how it works. I say we use the pick on a QB and roll the dice for once in this franchise's sorry ****ing dickless history. The years of being just good enough to lose in the playoffs are because we always wanted to play it safe. "Oh, the QBs aren't good this year? Stay away from them! They'll destroy all our chances at winning a playoff game!"

The reports that these QBs aren't good are overblown, but even if you choose to believe them, that shouldn't matter. The strategy is to find a QB. TIme to start looking. May as well start with this class.

Comparing Kaepernick to Cassel is totally unfair. What did Cassel do in college.....carried a clip board. Kaepernick put about zillion yards and was in the Heisman talk for a while. So trading for him would be equal to drafting a 1st round rookie QB. With that said I would rather the Chiefs take a different approach and draft their own QOF.....as long as it is not another Matt from USC.

Geno needs to a Chief.

If Pioli is here during draft in general all hope and trust is lost in the franchise
