Shooting at Arrowhead- Chiefs player commits suicide

No details yet. Just came across on the news.

edit: Sources say the player is Jovan Belcher. Police have yet to confirm.

An unnamed Kansas City Chiefs player has committed suicide at the team facility and authorities are on the scene, the police confirmed to ESPN on Saturday morning.

Local reports say police are operating with the belief the player fatally shot his girlfriend at a house before driving to Arrowhead Stadium and killing himself at around 8 a.m local time. The Associated Press reported the player's age to be 25.

"We can confirm that there was an incident at Arrowhead earlier this morning," the Chiefs said in a statement. "We are cooperating with authorities in their investigation."

There were no other injuries at the team facility, police said.

The Chiefs (1-10) were preparing to host the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

The NFL has told the Panthers to travel as planned to Kansas City on Saturday, the Charlotte Observer has reported, citing interim general manager Brandon Beane.

Seems legit.
And you're a troll.

Good luck with that.

They're paying nearly $120 million per game for exclusive rights to MNF.

But I'm sure they'd have NO PROBLEM with Fox broadcasting a game opposite MNF for any reason the NFL deems necessary.

Wait, what? Don't customers usually give proprietors money? Why is the NFL getting all that money from ESPN.

What, Dane? Only you can have personal conversations with entertainment lawyers at Disney?

I never said anything about Disney, by the way. I'll I'm saying is that I might have an uncle who works for Covington & Burling, which I'm sure is a firm you're very familiar with, and because of that connection, I may have recently met with two people who, how should I put it, had a former role as a very important person in the NFL, and another who currently does have a very important role.

Such typical Dane bullshit - I spoke to Disney's entertainment lawyers about this specific issue (pretty convenient, right?) and that's how I know you're all wrong!

Some of the options thrown out in the thread are laughable and completely disconnected with reality.

That's great. I'm happy for you and your future. Seriously.

But that doesn't mean that you're familiar with IP and entertainment contracts. I am.

Whether it was the Satriani vs. Coldplay or NFL CBA negotiations or the Charlie Sheen vs. Warner Bros contract dispute, I've argued with real attorneys on this site and guess what? I was right, they were wrong.

I've spent two decades dealing with entertainment law and IP. If I don't know the answer to a specific issue (which is rare these days), I can email, text, call or have lunch with a dozen entertainment lawyers that are either VP's or even Presidents of huge entertainment conglomerates.

Even though HMc is attempting to prove otherwise, I am not talking out of my ass nor talking out of turn.

It's great when you can just happen to have had conversations about all the things you end up arguing about on the internet, isn't it?

It's laughable. If Dane had specific knowledge of the ESPN contract he would have mentioned it in his first post in the thread. He's just made that up now to protect his perceived CP credibility as being a mover and shaker.

So, I didn't comment about the 2011 game? The contractual aspect wasn't mentioned in the USA Today link you provided from 2010?

Are you incapable of reading?
