Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah

This might turn out to be a simple case of bad luck for the Chiefs. They're a year too late to cash in on the Andrew Luck/Robert Griffin III bonanza, and there doesn't appear to be a 2013 quarterback prospect worthy of the No. 1 overall pick. I would have to think West Virginia's Geno Smith would be the choice over USC's Matt Barkley if the Chiefs go that direction, but at this point I think they go elsewhere. Kansas City already has spent first-round picks on the likes of Tyson Jackson and Dontari Poe, but needs a defensive tackle who can hold ground while also providing more pass-rush ability. Lotulelei will never be an elite pass-rusher, but he is strong against the run and has the quickness and power to collapse the pocket. He could become a mainstay in the middle and be good for five to seven sacks per year.

Jaycee Pearson was talking about this guy a few weeks ago. Said he's a beast and would be a great player for us but it would be ridiculous for us to take him

Petro just mentioned that McShay at this time last year had Robert Griffin going 32nd or 33rd overall.

He said not only will the first QB go off the board BEFORE #7 (where McShay has the 1st QB being picked), there will be at least TWO come off the board before #7.

No logic for McShay's board. Says KC and Arizona desperately need QBs, and has Smith going at #8. Soooooo why in the **** wouldn't he go at #1 overall.

How can you not take the over on three?

Smith, Wilson, Barkley and Dysert should all go in the first and that precludes any declaring Juniors.

Landry Jones and Glennon will get 1st-round consideration when it's all said and done.

I could see SIX QBs going in the first round.
