Statement from Romeo Crennel

Quote:
ďObviously Iím very disappointed in the way our season went. At the end of the day, the NFL is a performance-based league, and we werenít able to win. I want to thank the Hunt family for the opportunity as well as our players, coaches and fans for their support during my time in Kansas City. As for my future, Iím planning to take some time to reflect on this season, evaluate everything, and make a decision based on whatís right for myself and my family.Ē

He lost the competitive fire required to be a head coach; even as a DC he only brought it to a handful of games the last few years. Poor hire from the get-go. Good luck, goodbye.

Anyone who would think Brian Daboli is the answer at OC is showing he shouldn't be a HC. Romeo had no coaching tree to pick good assistants. He didn't even have a coaching shrub. He had a coaching dandelion.

Thanks for getting us the #1 pick and ridding us of Pioli. Now go retire.

I'll take future defensive consultant for NE for $750, Alex.

I don't think Crennel was tough enough on the team. Several times when the press asked why the Chiefs ended up with yet another loss, his reply was "I don't know." A real HC gives the real reason why his team blows a game and doesn't look for an easy escape route. Crennel is not HC material, and both Hunt and Pioli should have seen that long before the start of this season.
