I'm not worried. If Pioli tries to punk Reid like he did Haley, Reid will bitch-slap Pioli and call Clark to take out the garbage, and Pioli knows it. Pioli will effectively only be in charge of the business side.

Tom Coughlin had three losing seasons in a row before he left Jacksonville. Then he went to the Giants and won two Super Bowls. I'd take that too.

There is no perfect hire out there. Andy Reid is a damn good one, though.
Agreed.

10 of the past 15 Super Bowl winners had coaches who were with their second team.

Mike Shanahan failed in Oakland, won two Super Bowls in Denver
Dick Vermeil moderate success in Philly, won a Super Bowl with the Lambs
Bill Belichick average HC in Cleveland, won 3 Super Bowls with the Patriots
Jon Gruden won with Tampa, his second team
Tony Dungy won with Indy, his second team
Tom Coughlin won with the NY Giants his second team.

Lot's of good precedent in recent years for a HC who didn't with the SB in his first head coaching job being successful in winning a Super Bowl in his second job.

Hahaha...Eskin ripping Eagles fans for criticizing Reid. "If you listen to the fans, you'll be sitting with the fans. If they don't like Scott Pioli, it's not the be all end all. It's on the organization."

It would be incredibly bad PR for any candidate to go out there and say they aren't fine with the current GM, even if they know he's getting fired or you won't go there unless he is. That is for the Owner to handle and until it is, you keep your mouth shut or stay polite.

Well done. GTFO, Scott.

Granted, the league is all about what you've done for me lately, two years is hardly enough time to seriously come to that conclusion... and they were 8-8 last season (granted, they were also 4-8).
And Chunt is going to give Andy a pretty lengthy contract here, we're talking 4-6 years right out of the box minimum.

Reid will interview with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday as planned, according to NFL.com's three amigos: Steve Wyche, Ian Rapoport and Albert Breer
Rapoport and Breer have reported all week that the Chiefs had interest in Ferentz.

Their reporting is garbage.

JFC...the only man in the media who has spoken with Reid himself just said that there is NO INTERVIEW SCHEDULED with AZ. NFLN is late to the party and didn't do their homework.

Also, Eskin: "If Bill Belichick didn't have Tom Brady, he'd have ZERO super bowls."
