Will Vick follow Reid as a backup QB?
The Eagles aren't going to keep him with his current contract. He's better than either Cassell or Quinn, and he would prolly come cheap.

I don't want him for a long term solution as a backup, but he beats anything we have on the squad. He said he used to have dreams about playing for the Chiefs while he was in Leavenworth....

While Vick was terrible this year the O-line was banged up all season. He couldn't drop back more than 3 steps before he had pressure. Was some of that him not reading properly, ya sure, but the line was terrible and defenses do a good job to disguise those blitzes. If he expects a tackle to pick up a blitz and the tackle doesn't, well you've seen what happens.

Pretty much. The Eagles were even worse with Foles under center this year than they were with Vick and they were pretty ****ing bad with both of them.

I think the veteran backup thing to "show them the ropes" is overrated. What's the QB coach doing all this time?

Look at Washington. RG3 did just fine. And why? Because he can play. Not because he had a washed up has been teaching him.

If Geno can play, he'll be fine.
