Chiefs have now confirmed that Doug Pederson will be the team's offensive coordinator.

The Chiefs coaching staff list we posted earlier today was pretty spot (sans the quality coaches, strength guys,... Eric Bieniemy (Running Backs), Tommy Brasher (Defensive Line), Travis Crittenden (Assistant Strength and Conditioning), David Culley (Assistant Head Coach/Wide Receivers), Mike Frazier (Statistical Analysis Coordinator), Corey Matthaei (Quality Control), Tom Melvin (Tight Ends), Matt Nagy (Quarterbacks), Britt Reid (Quality Control) and Barry Rubin (Head Strength and Conditioning).

Like Pederson, but Sutton had a losing HC record and in 3 years as DC 16th in the league was his best Defense. Read a couple of articles that he is unimaginative in his calls as well. Good fundamentals coach, but not so hot with pressure and scheme.

Mangina called the defense when Sutton was "defensive coordinator" according to some Jets fans I've talked to. So this is the first time he's called the defense at the NFL level
