Enough with "next year" for this team.

If they don't have the balls to go up to the plate and swing for the fences, they don't deserve dedicated fans.

Spoke w/ Geno Smith's rep, Jeff Nalley. Says Geno will do full workout at #NFLCombine. Good sign. Usually when one jumps in, others follow.

I kinda think we should keep trying the strategy where maybe the pitcher will just walk all our runs in.

Geno Smith to do everything at Combine
Posted by Darin Gantt on February 12, 2013, 5:55 PM EST
Geno Smith AP

With no Andrew Luck-level certainties at the top of this draft class, there’s an opening for someone to make a name for themselves at next week’s NFL Combine.

That’s especially true among the quarterbacks, but West Virginia’s Geno Smith is taking a solid first step toward possibly being the first passer off the board.

According to Gil Brandt of NFL.com, Smith will “do a full workout,” in Indianapolis, giving scouts a chance to see how he stacks up rather than making them wait for a pro day.

As Brandt points out, having Smith throw and do all the drills sets a bar for the other quarterbacks, and more will likely follow suit.

There’s a chance to not look as polished when throwing to unfamiliar receivers (unlike pro days on college campuses with guys you know, when 57-of-59 passing is more the norm), but taking that chance also speaks to competitiveness.

After Smith and Southern Cal’s Matt Barkley skipped the Senior Bowl, there wasn’t much to look at among the quarterbacks who played, but Smith’s going to give everyone something to talk about.

If you're gonna be a ****ing vagina and quit on this franchise because we don't pick Geno Smith, then GTFO.

Andy Reid and John Dorsey know more about football than this whole board combined and were responsible for drafting two All-Pro QB's. If they feel Geno isn't the best QB, then trust them. JFC there are some chicken little's all over the board.

Hate to agree with your dumb ass but it's the truth.

We should just be happy if they pick a QB in the 1st round.
