And that's the point that maybe we overlook too much. Guys like HotCarl aren't SB or bust. They just want to have fun on Sundays. Having a QB that can make sure you are a 7-9 win team every year is fine.

I never understood Trent Green being grouped with the other failure QB's. He was a great QB here for a good 3 or 4 years.

We would have had a run similar to the Saints if we actually had a defense that could stop somebody.

Trent did what Alex Smith and Matt Cassel never could: drive the ball down the field with velocity and accuracy.

Like htis said, we can't use that argument. Or so we've been told.

Did you even watch their games?

It's pretty obvious why they took a significant step forward last year and played in a Super Bowl this year WITHOUT Alex Smith.

He walked off the field last year in the NFC championship with a game that he had done enough to win.

It's hard to argue that he isn't good enough to get to the Super Bowl when he was an overtime field goal away from it just last season.

The "he had no defense" defense isn't allowed, sorry.

Its amazing how we have ten thousand posts of people showing why Geno can do it, showing every scrap of evidence possible. Yet one by one the detractors come in, shit in the thread, and then fail out because they no leg to stand on. Seriously, go back through the main thread and notice the trend. One guy comes in, shits, dies. Next comes in, shits, dies. Next, next, next.

Keep em comin.

Just because his team almost won that game doesn't mean he did. If he was even half-decent in that game they are never in a position to lose. He fell halfway short of winning a SB. His team won one playoff game last year. Sanchez got to 2 conference championship games.
