Maybe the 3rd round the Chiefs can pick him up and let him sit behind Geno for a couple years or in case Geno is out for a couple games with an injury.

The WVU game, also known as the Bailey/Austin YAC party.

Austin even went off on kickoff returns.

So does Steve Young/Joe Montana get credit for Jerry Rice YAC parties?

Good QB's get the ball to their playmakers. Bad QB's throw the ball in the dirt.

Did Young or Montana throw a fraction of the screen passes that Geno did in a season?

Tyler Wilson got no YAC yardage off of the crossing routes the Arkansas offense is built upon.

Yep.

At the point he got stumped , he could only remember the first two parts of a 12 part play.

It's something to keep an eye on...
The thing is.....Gruden asks him to draw a play from their college playbook and explain it. He doesn't show them a play and then ask them to redraw it minutes later.

How does a guy who spends all day in the film room NOT eventually learn the jargon that a new playbook entails?

It's not like we're dealing with that meathead Tyler Bray who is generally more concerned with his mantan than preparing for his huge conference matchup on Saturday.

Mooch put that play in front of Geno, waited until he got an "okay", talked for 5 minutes, and then asked Geno to spit it back out. When Geno is actually learning the plays in his new offense, he's going to be studying that shit day after day after day. AND he'll have the help of his coaches and trainers.

It was a bad appearance on TV. If he stumbles through Gruden's segment the same way he did Mooch's, it's STILL not a concern.

Unfortunately I cannot get that information on these interwebz. YAC wasn't even recorded back then.

But everyone knows Jerry Rice on the quick slant was the king of YAC.

Rice was also a huge down route guy. I just don't recall any offense there that was anything like a spread offense we see in college.
